The Dehne Village Fundraiser is a school project aimed at empowering and supporting the local community of Dehne. As a research analyst and volunteer for the Fundraiser, I gathered data about the village. This information helped the marketing team create effective campaigns to raise awareness and support for the initiative. I also helped evaluate and update the itinerary for our visit to Dehene, ensuring that we made the most of our time there by engaging with key members of the community.
During our visit, I spoke to local residents to better understand the challenges they faced, particularly the lack of opportunities for women and young girls. Based on this research, we focused on raising funds to provide skill training for women in the village. Through a crowdfunding effort, we successfully raised Rs 1,80,286 within a month, helping to empower the local women with new skills that could open doors to better economic opportunities.
